Thin Chocolate and Orange Tart Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small cubes
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar and chilled butter. Mix until it forms a crumbly dough.

  4. Press the dough into a tart tin with the back of a spoon. Make sure the dough is evenly distributed and the sides are at least 1 inch high.

  9. Pour the chocolate mixture into the tart shell.
  10. Refrigerate the tart for at least an hour until the chocolate sets.
  11. Take the tart out of the refridgerator and cut into thin slices.
