Ultra Chocolate Fondant Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces of dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Butter and flour six 3/4 cup ramekins.
  3. Melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and sugar.
  5. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the flour mixture and whisk until combined.
  6. Add the chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and whisk until everything is fully combined.
  7. Pour the mixture into the ramekins and smooth over the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft and gooey.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the fondants cool for 1 minute.
  10. Run a knife around the edge of each fondant to loosen it from the ramekin.
  11. Place a plate on top of each ramekin and invert it so the fondant comes out onto the plate.
  12. Serve immediately with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
