Vietnamese Salad Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 head of lettuce, washed and chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 1 large carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup of cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of chopped peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 red chili, sliced (optional)

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together fish sauce, lime juice and sugar. Set aside.
  2. In a larger bowl, toss together lettuce, shredded carrots, sliced onions, and cilantro.
  3. Pour the fish sauce and lime juice mixture over the salad and toss again.
  4. Sprinkle chopped peanuts and chili over the top.
