Apple, Walnut and Cinnamon Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup grated apple
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and eggs until smooth, then stir in grated apple and chopped walnuts.
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix well. Gradually stir in milk until batter is smooth.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
