Baked Apples Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 large apples (Honeycrisp, Pink Lady or Granny Smith works well)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions:

  2. Wash the apples thoroughly, and cut off the top of each apple, about 1/3 of the way down.
  3. Use a melon baller or a spoon to remove the core, leaving the apple hollow. Make sure not to pierce through the bottom of the apple.
  4. Place the apples in a baking dish that fits them snugly.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until combined.
  6. Stuff each apple with the butter and sugar mixture.
  7. Pour the water into the bottom of the baking dish.
  8. Bake the apples for 30-40 minutes, until they are tender and the filling is gooey and bubbly.
  9. Let the apples cool for a few minutes before serving.
