Baked Bass Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole cleaned bass (2-3 pounds)
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly coat with cooking spray.
  3. Lay the bass in the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle minced garlic, fresh thyme, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper over the fish.
  5. Lay lemon slices on top of fish and inside the cavity
  6. Cover the fish with another piece of foil and seal tightly.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the fish reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. Remove the foil cover and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until the skin is slightly browned.
  9. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
