Baked Bass Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 whole cleaned bass (2-3 pounds)
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 lemons, sliced
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly coat with cooking spray.
- Lay the bass in the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Sprinkle minced garlic, fresh thyme, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper over the fish.
- Lay lemon slices on top of fish and inside the cavity
- Cover the fish with another piece of foil and seal tightly.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the fish reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the foil cover and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until the skin is slightly browned.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
