Caramel Pannacotta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 3 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the gelatin with a tablespoon of cold water until it dissolves completely.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and salt over medium heat, and whisk until the sugar is dissolved completely.
  3. Once the mixture comes to a light simmer, remove it from the heat and stir in the caramel sauce, whisking until it’s well combined.
  4. Add the dissolved gelatin to the caramel mixture, and whisk until it’s completely incorporated.
  5. Pour the mixture into six ramekins (or whichever mold you prefer) and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight, until the pannacotta is set.
  6. Once the pannacotta is set, use a knife to loosen it from the sides of the ramekin, and carefully invert it onto a plate.
  7. Drizzle some additional caramel sauce on top and serve chilled.
