Cauliflower and Potato Mash Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-sized cauliflower head
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt, or to taste

Instructions:

  1. Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower head and cut the cauliflower into small florets.
  2. Peel and dice the potatoes into evenly sized pieces.
  3. In a large pot, fill with enough water to cover the potatoes and cauliflower. Season with salt and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low and add the cauliflower florets and diced potatoes.
  5. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
  6. Drain the water and add the unsalted butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to the pot.
  7. Mash the vegetables with a potato masher until a smooth texture is achieved.
  8. Gradually add milk while stirring constantly until desired consistency is reached.
  9. Season with more salt and black pepper if needed.
  10. Serve hot.
