Charlotte with Mascarpone Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients

  • 20 lady fingers
  • 1 cup of mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup of whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of milk (or coffee for an adult version)
  • 1 1/2 cups of dark chocolate chips

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract together until you have soft peaks of whipped cream.
  2. In another mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and 1 cup of melted dark chocolate chips until it’s well combined.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone chocolate mixture starting with 1/3 of the whipped cream mixture at a time until everything is well combined.
  4. Dip the lady fingers in the milk (or coffee) for a couple of seconds, and place them on the sides and base of a 6-inch springform pan, making sure to put the side of the ladyfinger against the wall or the base.
  5. Pour half of the chocolate mascarpone mixture into the pan then place another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the other half of the chocolate mascarpone mixture.
  6. Chill for 2-3 hours before serving.

Serving Suggestions

Serve cold with a dusting of cocoa powder on top for an elegant touch. You can also garnish with fresh fruit like raspberries or strawberries. Enjoy this deliciously creamy and rich dessert with your family or friends as an after-dinner treat.
