Cheddar Burger

Ingredients:

  • 800g ground beef
  • 8 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 6 tablespoons of barbecue sauce
  • 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty that is about 1 inch thick.
  4. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and let it melt for a minute.
  6. While the burgers are cooking, mix the mayonnaise and barbecue sauce in a small bowl to make the burger sauce.
  7. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until lightly toasted.
  8. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the bun. Spread some of the barbecue sauce on top of the cheese and top each burger with the top half of the bun.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite sides such as french fries or coleslaw.
