Chestnut Paste Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500g chestnuts
  • 200g sugar
  • 200ml water
  • 50ml rum

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/392°F.
  2. Cut a small slit in the skin of each chestnut to prevent them from exploding in the oven.
  3. Roast the chestnuts in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the skins have split open.

  8. Add the warm syrup gradually to the chestnut paste and mix until it forms a smooth paste.
  9. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
