Chicken Tagine with Dried Fruit Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon turmeric

Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Heat the olive oil in a large ovenproof pot over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 8 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
- Add the onions and garlic to the pot and cook until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, saffron, and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the pot and add the chicken stock, apricots, dates, raisins, honey, and salt. Bring to a simmer.
- Cover the pot and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with cooked couscous if desired.
