Cinnamon Apple Crumble Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of sliced and peeled apples
  • 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the sliced apples into an 8-inch (20cm) square baking dish.
  3. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Add the melted butter into the mixing bowl and stir until the mixture is crumbly and the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the sliced apples in the baking dish. Spread it out in an even layer.
  6. Bake the cinnamon apple crumble in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  7. Remove the baking dish from the oven and allow it to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
