COCONUT AND CARAMEL FLAN
Ingredients:
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (13.5 ounces) unsweetened coconut milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 5 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Combine the sweetened condensed milk and coconut milk in a bowl, mix well and set aside.
- In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sugar dissolves and caramelizes to a golden brown color (about 10 minutes).
- Pour the caramelized sugar into a 9-inch round cake pan, swirling to coat the bottom and sides.

- Remove the flan from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature. Then carefully invert it onto a serving plate. Serve chilled.
