Ingredients

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 2 cloves of garlic, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 lemon, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas in a colander. You can save the water for later use as aquafaba.
  2. In a bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or a potato masher until you get a slightly chunky consistency.
  3. Add the mashed garlic, olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, salt and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
