Comté Cheese and Ham Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 200g of flour
- 3 eggs
- 150g of diced cooked ham
- 200g of grated Comté cheese
- 20cl of milk
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Grease a cake tin with a little olive oil.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, milk and olive oil together.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually fold this into the egg mixture to form a smooth batter.
- Add the diced ham and grated Comté cheese to the batter and stir well.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the cake batter into the greased cake tin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 35 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Serve the Comté Cheese and Ham Cake sliced with a herb salad on the side.
