Comté Cheese and Ham Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 200g of flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 150g of diced cooked ham
  • 200g of grated Comté cheese
  • 20cl of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Grease a cake tin with a little olive oil.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, milk and olive oil together.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually fold this into the egg mixture to form a smooth batter.
  5. Add the diced ham and grated Comté cheese to the batter and stir well.
  6. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Pour the cake batter into the greased cake tin.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature.
  10. Serve the Comté Cheese and Ham Cake sliced with a herb salad on the side.
