Ingredients

  • 2 sheets of pre-made puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup of pine nuts
  • 4 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the pine nuts in a dry skillet and toast over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until lightly browned. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Roll out each sheet of puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thickness and cut each into 6 rectangles.
  4. Spread 1 tablespoon of honey onto each rectangle and sprinkle pine nuts on top.
  5. Roll each rectangle into a crescent shape and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush each crescent with the beaten egg to give a golden color.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
