Eggs Cocotte with Bacon Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the bacon in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and chop into small pieces.
- Grease 4 ramekins with butter and place them on a baking sheet. Crack an egg into each ramekin.
- Pour 1 tablespoon of heavy cream over each egg, then add the chopped bacon pieces.
- Season each ramekin with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake the ramekins in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your liking. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before topping with chopped fresh chives and serving.
