Eggs Cocotte with Bacon Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the bacon in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and chop into small pieces.
  3. Grease 4 ramekins with butter and place them on a baking sheet. Crack an egg into each ramekin.
  4. Pour 1 tablespoon of heavy cream over each egg, then add the chopped bacon pieces.
  5. Season each ramekin with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Bake the ramekins in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your liking. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before topping with chopped fresh chives and serving.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve the eggs cocotte with bacon alongside toasted bread or a side salad to make it a complete meal. This dish is perfect for brunch or a cozy weekend breakfast.
