Financiers at Monsieur Cuisine Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 125g unsalted butter
  • 100g ground almonds
  • 150g icing sugar
  • 50g plain flour
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your Monsieur Cuisine oven to 180°C.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and allow to cool.
  3. Combine the ground almonds, icing sugar and plain flour in a bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until they start to form stiff peaks.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites, followed by the melted butter and vanilla essence.
  6. Spoon the mixture into a silicone financier mould (or a muffin tray) until each mould is three-quarters full.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool in the moulds for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
