Focaccia recipe: aperitif idea

Focaccia Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 tsp. sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a clean towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about one hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Place the dough on a well-oiled baking sheet and flatten it into a round shape. Use your fingers to make small indentations all over the top of the dough.
  7. Drizzle the dough with olive oil and sprinkle the rosemary and sea salt on top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Verdict

This focaccia recipe is simple to make and yields delicious results. The rosemary and sea salt toppings add great flavor and the dough is perfectly textured- crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
