Fresh Goat Cheese Turnovers with Figs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz fresh goat cheese
  • 4-5 ripe figs, thinly sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until it is about 1/8 inch thick. Cut the pastry into 4-inch squares. Place them on a lined baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix the goat cheese, honey, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Spoon 1 heaped tablespoon of the goat cheese mixture onto each pastry square. Place 2-3 slices of fig on top of the cheese.
