Gougères with Comté Bernard Loiseau style
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded Comté cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp thyme leaves
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, bring water, butter, and salt to a boil.
- Add in the flour and stir until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pot and forms a ball.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let cool for a couple of minutes.
- Using a mixer, add one egg at a time until fully incorporated.
- Stir in the shredded Comté cheese, Parmesan cheese, and thyme leaves.
- Using a tablespoon or a cookie scoop, drop balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
