Ingredients

  • 225g unsalted butter, softened
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 225g plain flour
  • 100g ground roasted hazelnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Sift in the flour and mix until just combined.
  4. Add the ground hazelnuts and mix until combined.
  5. Form the mixture into a ball and place it on the prepared baking tray. Flatten the ball into a thick disk.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the shortbread is pale golden and firm to the touch.
  7. Remove from oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Cut into slices while it is still warm and enjoy!
