Leek, Salmon and Shrimp Gratin Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 leeks, cut into thin slices
- 1 pound salmon, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the leeks and garlic in olive oil and butter until softened.
- Add the salmon and shrimp to the skillet and cook until the shrimp turns pink and the salmon is cooked through, about 5 to 8 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the salmon and shrimp mixture and stir until well coated.
- Add the milk slowly to the skillet while continuously stirring until the mixture thickens, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove from heat and transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bread crumbs.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread crumbs are golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes and serve.
