Mique of Lower Corrèze Recipe
Ingredients:
- 500g of plain flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 500ml of water
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 sprig of fresh thyme
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and 250ml of water.
- Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until it forms dough. Knead the dough for 5 minutes.
- Roll the dough into small balls, about 1-2cm in diameter.
- Heat the remaining 250ml of water in a saucepan until boiling. Add the minced garlic, butter, and thyme.
- Add the dough balls to the saucepan and reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Serve hot.
