Parma Crust Mini Quiches Recipe
Ingredients
- 200g Parma ham
- 50g unsalted butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 5 eggs
- 100ml double cream
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C/356°F.
- Grease a 12-hole muffin tin with butter or cooking spray.
- Lay a slice of Parma ham into each muffin hole, pressing down firmly.
- Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened but not browned.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, double cream, thyme, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked onion to the egg mixture and stir well.
- Pour the egg mixture into the Parma ham crusts, filling each about 3/4 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the egg mixture is set and the crusts are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes in the tin before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
