Parmesan shortbread: recipe for the aperitif


Parmesan Shortbread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper.

  7. Place the cutouts onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  8. Bake until the edges are golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
  9. Let the shortbread cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
