Pear Almond Tart Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 egg
- 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons apricot jam, melted
- 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and mix until combined.
- Add the almond flour and all-purpose flour, and mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan.
- Arrange the sliced pears over the dough.
- Brush the melted apricot jam over the pears.
- Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the pears and jam.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the pears are tender.
- Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
This Pear Almond Tart can be served warm or at room temperature. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream for a decadent dessert, or with a cup of coffee or tea for an afternoon treat.
