Pear Almond Tart Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons apricot jam, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and mix until combined.
  4. Add the almond flour and all-purpose flour, and mix until a smooth dough forms.
  5. Press the dough evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan.
  6. Arrange the sliced pears over the dough.
  7. Brush the melted apricot jam over the pears.
  8. Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the pears and jam.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the pears are tender.
  10. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Serving Suggestions:

This Pear Almond Tart can be served warm or at room temperature. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream for a decadent dessert, or with a cup of coffee or tea for an afternoon treat.
