Pear and Quince Tarts Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 medium-sized pears, peeled and diced
  • 1 medium-sized quince, peeled and diced
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a large rectangle and cut out 4 circles using a cookie cutter or a sharp knife. Place the circles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a medium-sized saucepan, place the diced pears, quince, sugar, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, salt, and butter. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fruit is tender and caramelized.
  4. Divide the caramelized fruit evenly among the puff pastry circles, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed. Serve warm or at room temperature.
