Pear tiramisu

Pear Tiramisu Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 ripe pears, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 24 Italian ladyfingers (Savoiardi)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine diced pears, sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until pears are softened and mixture has thickened, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat mascarpone cheese until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Slowly add powdered sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form. Fold whipped cream into mascarpone cheese until thoroughly combined.
  3. Stir amaretto liqueur into pear mixture.
  4. Dip ladyfingers into pear mixture and place a single layer in the bottom of a 9×13 inch serving dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Spoon half of the pear mixture over the mascarpone layer.
  6. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers, mascarpone, and pear mixture.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Serving Suggestions:
