Potato and Brie Gratin Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. of russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into small discs
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 8 oz of brie cheese, rind removed and torn into small chunks
  • 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Layer the sliced potatoes in a 9×13 inch baking dish, making sure they are evenly distributed.
  3. In a small pot, heat the heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper over medium heat until simmering.
  4. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes and make sure the potatoes are coated evenly.
  5. Add the chunks of brie cheese over the top of the potatoes, spreading them out so they cover the potatoes evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top of the brie cheese.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
