Puree of Split Peas with Thermomix Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 200g dried green split peas
  • 1 onion, peeled and quartered
  • 1 celery stick, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 800ml water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the split peas under cold water and drain them well.
  2. Add the peas, onion, celery, carrot, garlic, and bay leaf to the Thermomix bowl. Pour in 800 ml of water and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook for 30 minutes at 100°C on speed 2.
  4. Remove the bay leaf and blend the soup for 30 seconds on speed 8.
  5. Add olive oil and blend again for 10 seconds on speed 5.
  6. Serve hot with crusty bread and sprinkle with black pepper.
