Reunion Style Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of long-grain white rice
- 4 cups of water
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
Instructions:

- Add the water, stir and bring to a boil.
- Turn heat to low, cover the pot and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let rest for another 5 minutes before stirring the rice.
- Fluff the rice up with a fork and serve.
