Rice Crisps Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Rinse the uncooked rice in a fine-mesh strainer and drain well.
  3. In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.
  4. Add the rinsed rice, vegetable oil and salt to the boiling water and stir.
  5. Put a tight-fitting lid on the saucepan and reduce the heat to low, allowing the rice to cook for 18-20 minutes.
  6. Remove the saucepan from heat and keep the lid on. Let it rest for 10 minutes. The rice should be completely tender.
  7. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork to separate the grains.
  8. Spread the cooked rice evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake the rice for 15 minutes or until it’s crispy and golden brown.
  10. Remove the rice from the oven and let it cool before serving.
