Rice Crisps Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Rinse the uncooked rice in a fine-mesh strainer and drain well.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the rinsed rice, vegetable oil and salt to the boiling water and stir.
- Put a tight-fitting lid on the saucepan and reduce the heat to low, allowing the rice to cook for 18-20 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and keep the lid on. Let it rest for 10 minutes. The rice should be completely tender.
- Fluff the cooked rice with a fork to separate the grains.
- Spread the cooked rice evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the rice for 15 minutes or until it’s crispy and golden brown.
- Remove the rice from the oven and let it cool before serving.
