Sesame Twigs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sesame seeds, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the dry mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Roll the dough out into thin ropes and twist them into twigs.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the twigs on it.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden in color.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
