Sweet and Savory Skewers Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1/2 pound bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10-12 wooden skewers, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, salt and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Add chicken cubes to the bowl and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread chicken, bacon, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper onto skewers.
  5. Place skewers on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until chicken is fully cooked and bacon is crispy.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
