Tartiflette Savoyarde Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 pound bacon, diced
- 1 cup white wine
- 1/2 pound Reblochon cheese, sliced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and cook until softened. Add bacon and cook until crispy.
- Add white wine and continue to cook until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Drain the potatoes and add them to the skillet with the bacon mixture. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer half of the potato mixture to a baking dish. Top with half of the Reblochon cheese slices.
- Add remaining potato mixture to the baking dish followed by the remaining Reblochon cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly on top.
- Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
