Thermomix Shortcrust Pastry
Ingredients:
- 250g plain flour
- 125g unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 60g cold water
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Add flour, butter, and salt to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 5 seconds on speed 5 until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- With the Thermomix running on speed 4, pour the water into the bowl through the lid. Mix until dough comes together, about 10 seconds.
- Remove dough from the Thermomix and shape into a ball. Flatten slightly and wrap in cling film. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using.
- Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface to the desired thickness, then use as required in your recipe.
