Thermomix Sponge Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs, room temperature
- 150g caster sugar
- 150g self-raising flour, sifted
- 1 tsp baking powder, sifted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a 20cm round cake tin with baking paper.
- Add eggs and sugar to the bowl of the Thermomix and mix on Speed 4 for 3 minutes, or until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
- Add flour, baking powder and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix on Speed 4 for 20 seconds, or until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool in the tin for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
