Vietnamese Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 eggs

Instructions:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onion, green onion, carrots, and red bell pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the vegetables are tender but crisp.
  3. Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant.
  4. Add cooked rice, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  5. Make a well in the center of the pan, and crack the eggs into the well. Stir the eggs until they scramble and cook through.
  6. Add frozen peas to the pan and stir to combine all ingredients.
  7. Cook the rice for an additional 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
