Walnut Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Stir in the chopped walnuts.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg then mix in the milk and vegetable oil.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
