Welsh Traditional Beer Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 7 pounds of pale malted barley
  • 1 pound of malted wheat
  • 1/2 pound of crystal malt
  • 1/2 pound of black malt
  • Hops
  • Water
  • Brewer’s yeast

Directions:

  1. Mix the grains together and grind them coarsely.
  2. Heat 3 gallons of water to 160°F in a large pot.

  9. Pour the mixture into a fermenting bucket
  10. Add the yeast and mix well
  11. Let the mixture ferment for approximately 2 weeks
  12. Bottle the beer and let it condition for approximately 2 weeks before serving
