Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- ½ cup milk
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup cherries, pitted

Instructions:

- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

- Gradually beat in flour mixture and milk, alternating between the two, until batter is smooth and well-blended.
