Apple Muffin Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 medium apple, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease muffin cups or line with muffin liners
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
- In a separate bowl, beat together milk, oil, and egg
- Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients just until moistened
- Fold in chopped apple and cinnamon
- Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups, filling them about 2/3 full
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a muffin comes out clean
- Cool muffins in the muffin cups for 5 minutes and then remove from the pans and place them onto a wire rack to cool completely
