Sea Bream Stuffed with Asian Flavors
Ingredients
- 1 whole sea bream, gutted and scaled
- 1 cup cooked jasmine rice
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
- 1 stalk lemongrass, finely chopped
- 1 red chili, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Combine cooked rice, ginger, garlic, lemongrass, and red chili in a bowl. Mix well.
- Season the sea bream with salt and pepper. Stuff the rice mixture in the cavity of the fish.
- In a small bowl, whisk together fish sauce and honey. Brush the mixture over the surface of the sea bream.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sea bream and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
