Swedish Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons finely chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup pearl sugar (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolk and mix until well combined.
  3. Sift together the flour and salt, and then add it to the butter mixture. Mix until just combined. Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped almonds.
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten each cookie with the palm of your hand and sprinkle a little pearl sugar on top, if desired.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden brown. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Serve and enjoy!

Verdict:
