Ingredients:
- 6 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.

- Add the water and stir until the caramel dissolves. Let it bubble for around 5 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and the apples. Cook the apples until they are tender and the caramel is syrupy, about 15-20 minutes.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into a circle slightly larger than the skillet.
- Place the puff pastry over the apples and tuck its edges around the apples into the skillet.
- Prick the puff pastry in several places using a fork.
- Bake the tart until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed, 25-30 minutes.
- Once the tart is done, let it cool for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a plate.
