Bacon breaded line bass

Bacon Breaded Line Bass Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 skinless line bass fillets
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut each bacon slice in half crosswise, and then lengthwise. You should end up with 24 short, thin strips of bacon.
  3. Season the line bass fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  4. Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow dish.
  5. Beat the eggs in another shallow dish and season them with salt and black pepper.
  6. Take a line bass fillet and coat it in the beaten eggs, shaking off any excess. Then, coat the fillet in the breadcrumbs, pressing down gently to ensure an even coating.
  7. Wrap the bacon strips around the fillet, making sure they overlap slightly. Repeat the process with the remaining fillets.
  8. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the bacon-wrapped line bass fillets to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
  9. Transfer the fillets to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Verdict:

This bacon breaded line bass recipe is a great way to add some extra flavor to your fish dish. The bacon adds a smoky and salty touch, while keeping the fish moist and tender. This is a simple and tasty dish that will impress your guests at any dinner party.
