  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. Heat up a wok or large frying pan over high heat, add vegetable oil and let it heat up.
  2. Add pork belly cubes and fry until browned on all sides. This should take around 5-7 minutes. Remove the pork belly cubes from the wok and set aside.
  3. Add sugar to the wok and stir continuously until it melts and turns brown. Be careful not to burn it.
  4. Add Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce, five-spice powder, garlic, and ginger. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  5. Add the pork belly cubes back to the wok and mix well with the caramel sauce. Cook for another minute or two until the meat is coated and caramelized.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and red chili (optional).
