Ingredients

  • 600g potatoes, peeled and sliced into thin rounds
  • 200g bacon lardons
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 150ml double cream
  • 200g Reblochon cheese, sliced
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. In a large pan, cook the bacon lardons over medium heat until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the sliced potatoes to the pan and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are cooked through and starting to brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add the bacon lardons back to the pan and stir well.
  6. Pour the double cream over the potato mixture and stir well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to an ovenproof dish and arrange the sliced Reblochon cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the top is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
